home at last

hello friends!

it has finally arrived. well, come and gone really.

the wedding week flew by. I spent the whole week thanking myself for being so organized...because rhett and I were able to relax and coast through the last week. with only a few last minute details to settle...we were able to play hours upon hours of Pacman world on Allison's nintendo gamecube...and enjoy Christmas in the Park w1ith friends! We went by the association to grab our new bumper stickers...and took pictures to send to Emily at Todays Letters for fist pump fridays! (check us out on her AWESOME blog...here).

we graduated..enjoyed a dinner with our families...and woke up saturday morning and packed suitcases for disney! at one, we decorated the ceremony (which turned out better than expected!) then we got ready for the rehearsal...rehearsed...ate delicious italian food...went bowling (SO FUN), had a girl slumber party, and all of a sudden it was sunday!!

the wedding went so smoothly, and we loved getting to see old friends, family, and enjoy each other. we flew through formal pictures, and got to dance the night away at the reception. we left for the Gaylord Texan...and then got up early monday morning to head for Disney World!

What a fantastic, busy, and fun week. now we are home...settling in...and excited to celebrate the new year with family!

love from, the Grimes

reality check?

one week left. one!

as both a blessing and a curse, it hasn't kicked in yet. you know, the "oh my gosh" it's only one week! it still feels like 5 or 10 or 20 weeks left! lucky for me, that means the "is everything done?" panic hasn't set in yet. it also means that things continue to sit on my to-do list because I have all the time in the world...right?

December 19 is officially in the 10 day weather forecast, as are the first two days of the honeymoon. the predicted high temperature has already dropped by 6 degrees in just one day. we'll see how reliable this 10 day forecast bologna is. sorry all you cold weather lovers...but i'm hoping for a sunny 70 degrees the week before christmas this year...so we can use the beautiful outdoor courtyard and not freeze through formal pictures.

our apartment is wonderful. we have the blessing of living across the street from wonderful relatives with brand new baby twin girls! one for each of my arms over the next few months : ) we also live close to another beloved family who did us the major humungo favor of housing and feeding us all week while we slaved away unpacking. thanks griers : )

we have also been blessed by family and friends with beautiful wedding showers over the last few months. it truly made unpacking turn our apartment into a home. we can't wait to share it together.

and now..as college comes to a close...and our family journeys into a new adventure...we count it down with joy!

7 days until the wedding
13 days until Christmas
