wowee what a week!

pictures, some old and some courtesy of angie. some catching up, and some in this post.

so work is AWESOME! I can't give super details, but I can already tell I am going to love it. I am however, exhausted. going from no commitments to 5 days a week was a big jump! I have lots of studying to do so I can be prepared for guest questions!

next: flies vs. wasps. I have been rewarding roscoe for eating the flies that get into the house. he is quite good, actually. however, when we go outside and there are wasps, there is no distinguishment in his eyes. I should stop letting him chase flies. he did mouth a lizard yesterday. gross.

in my last days of being at home last week, and in the early days of this week, I have realized how much I appreciate little things like folding laundry. and by that I mean, I love serving Rhett. it feels good to know that I appreciate him and love him and feel good about it. who knew I could appreciate doing chores?

also we love our small group. that is all. they get more awesome by the second.

I have named my lunch "shades of yellow." for the last week it has consisted of: grilled cheese sandwhiches, banana, jalapeno chips and goldfish. one day I noticed that everything on my plate was yellow or orange. I hope my nose doesn't turn orange. that actually happened to my cousin once. awesome.

also: drumroll please, we are taking a trip to texas! woohoo! you may already know, but we are coming october 28-november 6 (depending on how many days I can wiggle out of work). so get excited! we are coming to see you!

so back in 2008 when we were in texas, we heard about the casey anthony case when it was happening..then I forgot about it...then we moved here...where it happened. yikes. her trial has been on our fox station all week! crazy!

driving to seaworld is crazy. it's 35 minutes each way. long commute....totally worth it.

we took our first trip to the beach! we went to new smyrna beach. it was beautiful. the water rose really fast! we had to move our stuff 3 times...like 10 yards each time! it was so nice to relax for a day. it's about an hour away...we had so much fun. rhett got a crazy sunburn because I lathered his back and he lathered his front but nobody lathered his shoulders. ha.

about an hour ago I got attacked by a swarm of tiny flies. it was gross. the end.

also I need to learn to trust my alarm. I am so terrified of missing it or falling back asleep that my brain keeps waking me up in the night.

I also saw my first wild alligator. on seaworld property...but it's wild in a retention pond. sort of counts.
