things continued

I told you I was going to get better! can you believe it? I blogged YESTERDAY. surprisingly, lots of fun things have happened!

firstly, rhett took me to celebrate my new job. we have been wanting to visit an elusive chocolate shop in our favorite datespot, waterford lakes. it's just a big shopping complex, but we love visiting hallmark, gamestop, target, california pizza kitchen, and the cupcake shop! but last night we finally went to the chocolate shop. was it delicious? yes. was it expensive? yes. was I shocked to find out how much I could be charging for my version of delicious chocolatey sweets? yes! it's incredible how much one cake ball can be sold for! I'm in the wrong business! jk. what's better than SeaWorld? NOTHING!

I also purchased some very impractical shoes. don't tell mommy. all I could think as I bought them was, mom would never let me buy these. I needed white tennys for the new jobskie. so we went out hunting for keds/converse. afterall, I already own nice running/walking shoes, and this is (for now) only a summer job. I fell in love with a pair of converse. with absolutely no support whatsoever. I get little insoles for them, but they are certainly not a good stand-in-all-day pair of shoes. the mommy inside my brain can feel free to say "I told you so" at the end of the summer. for now, I will sport my awesome white with teal accent kicks. I've been wearing them all day just to prove to myself that I can.

we also revisited gamestop. why you ask? well, rhett's xbox finally kicked the bucket in March. it got the red ring of death. we gave about half of the games to Kennan, and then sold the rest, for which we received a giftcard to gamestop. we went to spend it. last week. we decided on smash brothers, which was more than the worth of our gamecard. I thought to myself, wouldn't an older version be cheaper? so we asked. he gave us a gamecube version. smart right? we got 3 gamecube games for half the value on our giftcard! because wii and gamecube are super interchangeable right? wrong. well they are supposed to be. but you also have to buy a gamecube controller and memory card for them to be interchangeable. LAME. so we took those games back.

on our date we also visited JoAnn, per my request. I wanted to make seaworld colored hairbows to accentuate my uniform: ) upon checkout, we discovered 4th of july fabric at the entrance. we found it humorous that there was a bolt of republican fabric, and no democratic fabric to be found anywhere. then when I mentioned the bush election florida mixup, rhett quickly shushed me.

also, we recently made a strange discovery in our closet. an outlet. you might be thinking to yourself, that's not weird. and you would be right. but what if I told you that the plug was at a height around 7' off the floor? slightly more weird, right? I don't know how we didn't notice it before...probably because you don't look up by the ceiling for plugs. or in the closet. but there it is, above my reachable level of plugging stuff in, and in the closet.

and yesterday, you won't believe what I saw. the same woman from 2 weeks ago who informed me of where my dog can and cannot pee? her dog both peed and pooped in someone else's yard, and she left it there! double standard. if only I was bolder. Rhett says I need to forgive her. I would rather deliver a bag of doggydoo to her front porch.

and the Roscoe vs. computer war continues. the poor laptop gets beat up and stepped on and slobbered on and dog furred and is generally a victim of the dog's jealousy. of course he doesn't want attention UNTIL I'm on the computer.

that's all for now. as I finish up my last 10 days at home, I will now have to actually do things on my list. now that there is a deadline, of course. our paperwork just came in to get florida license plates (after much ado and trouble and time and frustration), and it will also be convenient to have florida toll tags (because every road here is a tollroad, especially those leading to Seaworld). I'm afraid I will not be able to catch up on all my scrapbooking before I begin work, but can fit it in as a relaxer! I am also committed to taking more pictures. I have new kicks and hairbows and house decorations to share with you! I promise I will pull out my camera. Rhett also finally compromised on my request to camp out in the backyard, and said we could assemble the tent if we camp in the living room. exciting and air conditioned.

more soon!
